What’s changing on November 1.
Our menu grew to twelve options, and many of you told us it was hard to know which one was yours. So we made it simpler: one way to start, two programs, and one membership for ongoing care.
Everything you have already booked or paid for is honoured, at the price you paid. Nothing about your current care changes.
First, the part that matters most.
- If you’re in a program now, you finish it at the price you paid. Nothing is reduced, repriced or cut short.
- You never need a membership to keep your prescriptions. Refills are reviewed at a visit, and a visit is always available.
- Your care is still with Marie, in person in Paradise or virtually across Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
- Your records and your plan stay yours. If you would rather continue with your family doctor or nurse practitioner, just ask and we will send them a written summary.
One way in, two programs, one membership.
- Everything starts with the Terra Assessment, $597. A comprehensive assessment, a body composition scan and a written plan. Join Vitality or Metabolic within 60 days and the full fee comes off.
- Terra Continuity, $699 a year. Three visits a year with a scan at each, a health summary after every visit, portal messaging with nurse access, and priority booking.
- Follow-up visits are $149. This replaces the $75 follow-up.
- One weight program instead of three. Terra Metabolic is 6 months, 7 visits and a scan at every in-clinic visit, for $1,197.
Five things end on November 1.
- The 3-month Foundations plan. Weight patients choose the 6-month program or pay per visit.
- $75 follow-up visits. Replaced by Care as You Go at $149, or membership.
- Free messaging for non-members. Messaging is included with programs and membership.
- Terra Access. Replaced by the Terra Assessment, which credits toward a program.
- Thrive Maintenance. Replaced by Terra Continuity at $699 a year.
The named skin and hair programs are retiring too.
Terra CLARITY, Terra STILL, Terra RESTORE and Terra ROOT are no longer offered as packaged programs. Every treatment they contained is still available and still priced on the Skin page: medical skin assessment, chemical peels, microneedling, scar treatment, PRP for skin and hair, and medical-grade LED.
If you are partway through one of these programs, it is honoured as booked. Nothing changes for you.
A few practical notes.
- We do not direct bill. You pay at your visit and we give you a receipt to send to your plan or your health spending account.
- Private workplace insurance sometimes covers nurse practitioner visits, but not always. We provide receipts for claims, and coverage varies by plan, so check yours.
- Health spending accounts often apply, and fees may count toward the medical expense tax credit. Check with your plan or tax advisor.
- Medication is billed separately by your pharmacy. It is never included in a program price.
- Terra is not covered by MCP. Terra is a private, specialized clinic rather than primary care.
Your questions
about the change.
Can I still message the clinic if I am not a member?
Yes. Everyone can still reach us. What is changing is what messaging is for: admin, booking, and working out the right next step for a clinical concern. If something needs an actual assessment, we will get you a nurse check-in or a visit at the usual fee. Members get clinical support between visits as part of what they pay for.
What if it is something small and I do not need a full visit?
We now do brief nurse check-ins by video for focused concerns, which is often all a small thing needs. Our team works out from your symptoms whether a check-in or a visit is right. For members these are included where appropriate. For everyone else they are pay per visit.
I am already a patient. Can I join Continuity?
Yes. It is open to existing patients who want regular follow-up through the year, at $699 until 31 December 2026. After that it is $899. Places are limited, so it is first come.
I’m partway through a program. What happens?
You finish it exactly as booked, at the price you paid. Nothing is shortened or repriced.
I pay $75 for follow-ups. What happens to that?
The $75 follow-up ends on 1 November for new bookings. If you are already a Terra patient, you have until 30 November to book your next follow-up at $75, and we will honour that rate even if the appointment itself falls later. After that, follow-ups are $149.
I’m a Thrive member. Do I lose anything?
No. Your Thrive membership continues as it is until it renews, and at renewal it moves to Terra Continuity at $699 a year.
Do I have to become a member?
No. Membership is one option among several. You can book a visit whenever you need one, and you never need a membership to keep your prescriptions.
I had a Terra Access package booked. What now?
It is honoured as booked. Going forward, the Terra Assessment replaces it, at $597, and the full fee credits toward Vitality or Metabolic if you join within 60 days.
Why are prices going up?
Visits got longer and the care around them got bigger: body composition scanning, labs, written plans, nutrition guidance and real follow-up. The old prices were set for a shorter visit and a smaller service.
Can I still just see Marie for one thing?
Yes. The Terra Assessment works for a single concern or a second opinion, and follow-up visits are always available at $149.
